Introduction to Groups

Posted by Ioana

You can use groups on your Ning Network to meet people with your interests or in your region. For example, a Ning Network for outdoor music festival fans could have groups for fans of specific types of music (ie, country, rock, hip-hop) and groups for fans in specific regions (ie, Denver, San Francisco, Los Angeles). The groups on TwitterMoms range from common interests (The Twilight Saga) to common means of expression (Mommy Bloggers).

Groups come equipped with their own discussion forum, RSS reader, text box and comment wall, and several privacy settings. As a group creator, you can choose the features and privacy settings you’d like to have for your group. As the Network Creator, you can control who can create groups or moderate groups before they’re posted.

Read on for more information on using and managing groups.
