If you enter a group on your Ning Network and notice that it is missing some formatting, features and its Admin Options links, this means that the Groups feature is not actually active on your network.
To activate or re-activate the feature, head to the Features Layout page from the Settings section of your My Network tab and drag the Groups feature from the list on the left onto your Ning Network on the right. After you click “Save” you’ll be able to return to your group and see its full set of features and options.
If you are trying to control the settings for your Forum and are unable to locate the Discussion Forum icon in your Shortcuts menu, this points to the same issue. Just add the Forum feature to your network from the Features Layout page and you will then see all options normally.
You can remove the tab for any feature from your Tabs page and choose to hide its Main Page display, but all features must be active on the network in order to function properly.
