Archive Your Media Files

Find a Retired Theme

If you are using the Classic Appearance Editor, and want to add a retired theme to your network, you can grab the CSS code for it here and copy and paste it into the Advanced section of your network’s Appearance page. Install the Ning Network Archiver on Your Computer

As a Network Creator, you can archive the content on your Ning Network.  In order to do this, you will need to download the Ning Network Archiver Application, which you can run with Adobe AIR .

Add HTML Pages and the Files Supporting Them

You can create and host your own HTML files with the File Manager. To upload your HTML (or.HTM) files, go to the My Network tab and click on File Manager under the “Content” section. You can click on the “Click to Add Files” button or use the simple uploader to begin uploading. You can also use the File Manager to store your other network files (such as image, CSS and JavaScript files).

Prevent Discussions from Being Deleted by Members

Your network is full of healthy discussions, with many contributors joining in after each discussion’s creator. By default, the person who creates a discussion can delete those discussions whenever they like. However, as the Network Creator or admin, you have the option to prevent active discussions from being deleted by the author.

Want to attach a file to your network? Look for the paperclip icon or the “Upload Files” link to get started.

Depending on your network plan, you can attach a file that is up to 3MB, 5MB or 7MB in size. Attaching a file to your network in this way creates a download link for that file that anyone on your network (or if the network is public, anyone who sees it) can click on to download.
