The Aidscompetence social network is on a mission: Coordinating education about and responses to AIDS worldwide. Member countries range from Africa to India to Papua New Guinea, and they’re all committed to finding a cure and making life easier for those affected.

Aidscompetence has a variety of members, from scientists looking for international research partners to a Pacific AIDS worker who wrote about shaving her head to gain insight on what’s really important to spend time on. Members have also shared photos of their travels. They’ve diagrammed a river in the Philippines, found a “second family” in Senegal, and met with parliaments. Seeing the smiling faces of those who are helped and the magnitude of the changes workers have made offers a whole new perspective on the AIDS issue.

Aidscompetence has already been doing great things to coordinate and drive the AIDS support mission, and they don’t plan on stopping.
