A new social network for the San Jose EarthquakesNing Network Spotlight
The San Jose Earthquakes, a Major League Soccer team, have launched their new social network MyQuakes just in time for the 2009 season, which opens this weekend. MyQuakes is the best place for fans to find insider news on the Earthquakes. They’ve posted a welcome video front and center on the main page with several Earthquakes players introducing fans to the new social network, like charismatic goalkeeper Joe Cannon. Joe and some of his teammates are active members of MyQuakes, which makes for a great interactive fan experience. Members join to get closer to their favorite players and coaches, check out behind the scenes and fan uploaded photos, and learn about the best places to eat around Buck Shaw Stadium. There’s even a group for people who take CalTrain to Earthquakes games. All of the team’s upcoming games have been posted in the Events section, making it the best place to learn the details – and find other fans who’ll be attending each game.
