To celebrate the centennial of the Grand Concourse, one of the most famous streets in the Bronx, the Bronx Museum of the Arts has commissioned artist Katie Holten to create a public work of art. Katie’s medium of choice: the trees up and down the Grand Concourse, around which she’s organized a “Tree Museum.”

Her new social network, Tree Museum, is one of the ways she’s involving the community in the exhibition. A native Dubliner, Katie’s using her social network to ask Bronx natives questions about the Tree Museum and post events of interest to the Bronx community. She’s also sharing her photos of the Grand Concourse and the Tree Museum as it comes together.
