Diddlyi is a social network for people passionate about Irish music and dance. This social network is the best place to watch Irish dance performances, get pointers from other members, and meet other Irish music and dance enthusiasts. St. Patrick’s Day is an important holiday for this social network, and Diddlyi has done a great job of encouraging members to “show the world your St. Patrick’s Day experiences.”

A text box front and center on the main page links to a blog post asking members to tag their St. Patrick’s Day themed blog posts, photos and videos with “diddlyispd09.” Members have already started uploading stories, videos, and pictures about St. Patrick’s Day to Diddlyi. What’s cool about this idea of asking members to use a certain tag for their content is that you can then link directly to only those blog posts, videos, and photos from anywhere, like Diddlyi does on the main page. Right away, people can see what members are doing to celebrate, encouraging them to contribute with their own experiences.

Thanks Mackenzie. Yes, it is really fun seeing the photos and videos come in. Having thousands of people around the world all contributing their own point of view of St. Patrick’s Day would have been very difficult before.

Hope you all had a good one!
