On February 17, I had the privilege to attend an incredibly moving event featuring Eve Ensler, playright of The Vagina Monologues, interviewing Dr. Denis Mukwege about his work to help women and girls in the Democratic Republic of Congo here in San Francisco. Dr. Denis Mukwege is the founder and director of the PANZI Hospital in the DRC. This event was organized by V-Day, the global movement to end violence against women and girls, and I think most people left the event eager to get involved.

As a result, I’m very excited to see that V-Day’s new social network The V-Wall for Congo has added over 1000 members since they opened it up on Saturday. Once you join The V-Wall you can meet other people around the world who are working to support this cause. It’s also easy to make a donation by following the “Donate” link at the top. They’ve done a fantastic job integrating The V-Wall for Congo into their website so it’s a seamless experience to move between the two. Swing by The V-Wall for Congo to learn more about this cause and get involved.
