Celebrating black moms at Mommy TooNing Network Spotlight
Mommy Too, the social network for the Mommy Too! Magazine blog, celebrates black moms. It’s a place where readers of the blog can “meet hundreds of moms like you.” Members actively participate on the social network, sharing favorite mommy websites and photos of their little ones. The groups feature is popular on this social network: from stay at home moms to single moms to moms in school, there’s a place for everyone on Mommy Too.
The Mommy Too social network has been integrated into the main blog using a couple of built-in features on the social network. First, the creator of the social network and editor of the blog, Jennifer, has used the Tab Manager to add a tab called “Mommy Too!” This tab points back to the Mommy Too! Magazine blog. Jennifer has also taken advantage of the ability to add RSS feeds to the main page of her social network. In the middle column, she’s pulled in the RSS feed of posts on the blog. The tab and RSS feed Jennifer has added to the Mommy Too! social network allows members to see what’s happening on the main blog, and provides a seamless experience between the two.
