bathcamp-ideas-and-interesting-people

Bathcamp is a social network connecting techies in Bath and Bristol, UK. Last fall, a BarCamp unconference was held in Bath, dubbed “Bathcamp” for its location. One of the organizers of Bathcamp, Mike, wanted to keep the momentum of the conference up and to allow anyone interested to keep in touch and network. The Bathcamp social network was born, and this week marks the group’s fourth evening meetup at a local pub’s quiz night.

Members use the Events feature to post meetups, RSVP and spread the word. With a quick glance, they can see which other members are attending and coordinate with them. They can also check out photos and even videos from the events. Bathcamp is an excellent example of a social network created for a specific event that has encouraged interested people to continue to connect and engage, long after the initial event.
