We just came out of what will hopefully be our last unplanned downtime for awhile. We’ve experienced three maintenance windows in less than two weeks, which is obviously not okay.
The reason behind this series of maintenance windows is a component in our infrastructure that we’ve been in the process of transitioning out of the Ning Platform for the past month. The final cutover for us removing this component is taking place tonight, which we accelerated as a result of the incidents last week and which will address the specific reason for last week and today’s unplanned maintenance. This new timing is also the reason behind the one week delay of the new Chat and Latest Activity feature updates to June 25th.
We appreciate your patience and flexibility here while we address the root cause of this issue tonight and get back to the levels of uptime and availability we strive for here at Ning.
