The ultimate festival experienceNing Network Spotlight
The annual High Sierra Music Festival is happening again this July and their social network is ” the place to be before before you get to Quincy for 4th of July weekend.” We wrote about them before last year’s festival. It’s a great example of creating a social network for a annual event or conference. With their social network, they can get festival goers excited about the event months before it happens and preview the artists to them as soon as they’re announced. This keeps the feeling of the festival strong for the whole year instead of just 4 days.
In order to get the social network ready for this year’s festival, they’ve updated its appearance to reflect their concert poster this year. They’ve done a great job helping members get to know the artists featured in this year’s lineup by using the music player to show off their music. They’ve embedded a widget by Jambase in a text box, which displays the other venues these artists are playing at over the next month. Members can also see festival concert posters from the last decade and rate the ones they like the best.
