Even the most die-hard running enthusiasts need a little extra motivation and help from time to time. That’s where Tribal Running comes in. Members of this Ning Network help each other train, motivate each other for races and generally make sure that members spend as much time as possible pounding the pavement.
When training for a big race, most training plans advice runners to taper the week or two before — to not run as hard, or as fast as in previous weeks. John Kinicutt recently posted a blog with questions about what to do during this taper week (he’s training for not one, but two marathons). He blogged, “Tapering, or just not training as hard?” Members are commenting with their own experiences of how they used this taper week to get themselves in top form pre-race.
