For supporters and volunteers, myKamalaNing Network Spotlight
If you are a politician looking to connect with your supporters, Ning is a great place to do it. Yesterday, GovFresh highlighted six “politician-powered” Ning Networks as examples. “As the 2010 election cycle heats up, politicians will take to the Web with a fervor to raise money and vie for votes,” they wrote. “Here are a few leading the way,” and then went on to list Marco Rubio, Thomas Castillo, Bob McDonnell, Tom Campbell, Tim Ryan and Joe Mallahan.
There’s a newcomer to be added to this rapidly growing list, however: Kamala Harris who is running for the position of Attorney General in California. Its launch was only a couple of weeks ago, announced on the main Kamala Harris website. In her welcome post, Harris wrote, “Last year, we saw how important the grassroots really is to today’s elections. Hopefully, myKamala will be a great resource as we come down the final stretch.” Good luck this year to Harris and all the politicians who are using Ning Networks to connect with supporters, mobilize volunteers and get the word out in 2010.
