If your Ning Network is public,\u00a0it\u00a0will generate RSS feeds for everything from Latest Activity updates to Photos to Forum Discussions. You can use a Feed Reader (like\u00a0this one<\/a>\u00a0from Google) to keep up with the action on your network. If you’re a member of multiple Ning Networks, this can help you keep it all in one place.<\/p>\n

\"Grab<\/p>\n

To add\u00a0an RSS feed from your Ning Network to another website, just locate the content you’d like to follow. Scroll to the bottom of the page and\u00a0click on\u00a0the RSS icon (it looks like a radio signal), which will open up the feed.<\/p>\n

You can copy the URL of this\u00a0RSS feed. For a forum discussion, it looks like this: http:\/\/yournetwork.ning.com\/forum\/topic\/list?feed=yes&xn_auth=no. You can get even more specific and follow only forum discussions\u00a0from a particular category or even forum discussions with a particular tag.<\/p>\n

Next, go to your external website or feedreader of choice. A good place to start is\u00a0iGoogle<\/a>, which is easy to configure and comes with a number of default feeds that will give you an idea of what you can use RSS for. To add a feed to your iGoogle, click the “Add stuff” link at the top right of the page.<\/p>\n

Next, at the bottom of the left column, click the “Add feed or gadget” next to the RSS icon.<\/p>\n

Paste in the URL of the RSS feed you copied from your Ning Network and click the “Add” button. Once your feed has successfully been added, click the “Back to iGoogle home” link at the top left of the page. Your new feed will appear in the top left corner of the page.<\/p>\n

You can edit your RSS feed on iGoogle in much the same way you edit your modules on the main page of your network.<\/p>\n

If you run an external website or blog, adding an RSS feed from your\u00a0Ning Network\u00a0to your external website is a great way to integrate the two. If you want to highlight certain content on your network with an RSS feed, you can create a tabs for it by going to My Network > Settings > Tabs & Pages and clicking on the “Add New Tab” link. In the Tab Information section, paste the URL into the “Use Existing URL” field.<\/p>\n
