If you’re interested in getting the most out of the\u00a0Status Update feature<\/a> so that your members feel inspired to share their thoughts, activities and interested with others, you’ll want to customize its settings first.<\/p>\n

To customize the prompt text\u00a0your members see when they update their\u00a0status (the default text is\u00a0“What brings you here?”), go to your My Network tab and click on Controls under the “Members” section. Enter the text you’d like to see in the\u00a0text field. You can enter up to 50 characters there.<\/p>\n

You can also choose to enable or disable your members from posting status updates. Check the box next to\u00a0“Allow members to post status updates” if you want to give them that ability.<\/p>\n
