If you want to\u00a0<a href=\"\/help\/twitter-integration-on-your-ning-network-2\/\">post this status on Twitter<\/a>\u00a0or <a href=\"\/help\/share-content-and-post-your-status-updates-directly-to-facebook\/\">Facebook<\/a>, check the box next to the icon before updating your status. Your message can contain\u00a0up to 140 characters. Click the &#8220;Share&#8221; button to post.<\/p>\n<p>To quickly add a content item to your network, you can click on any of the links that appear on your My Page Latest Activity feed above the status update box. A window will pop up, prompting you to enter your content item much as you would from the detail page.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4580\" title=\"My Page status update-1\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/My-Page-status-update-1.jpg\" alt=\"Add a Status Update 1\" width=\"585\" height=\"552\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve added a status update, your message will appear at the top of the Status box on your My Page. If\u00a0your Ning Network has\u00a0the Latest Activity feature\u00a0enabled, your status update will also appear in the Latest Activity feed on the the Main Page and your My Page.<\/p>\n<p>You can also update your status or add a content item from the Latest Activity feed on the main page.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4581\" title=\"sharecontent-1\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/sharecontent-1.jpg\" alt=\"Add a Status Update 2\" width=\"585\" height=\"494\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note that if you have set your profile page to be visible to members or friends only in your Privacy Settings, you will still be able to update your status on the main page, but your status will\u00a0only\u00a0appear on your My Page.<\/strong> This may look like your status update has disappeared, but going to your My Page will verify that it hasn&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4582\" title=\"My Settings-1\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/My-Settings-1.jpg\" alt=\"Add a Status Update 3\" width=\"585\" height=\"468\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you have unchecked the box next to &#8220;Update my status&#8221; in your Privacy Settings from your member account module, posting a status update on the main page or your My Page will not display in either location.<\/p>\n<p>To change the privacy settings for Latest Activity, read on <a href=\"\/help\/control-status-updates-in-your-my-page-activity-feed-2\/\">here.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Enter your status update\u00a0into the text field of the Status\u00a0module at the top of your My Page.
