You&#8217;ve\u00a0always been able to share photos, videos and any other content using the\u00a0<a href=\"\/help\/share-content-on-your-ning-network\/\">Share<\/a> feature.\u00a0With Twitter integration, you and members can easily and quickly\u00a0share content or send status updates to Twitter without leaving your Ning Network.<\/p>\n<p>To enable Twitter integration on your Ning Network, go to your My Network page and click &#8220;Twitter Integration&#8221; from the Tools menu. The URL shortener will automatically condense hyperlinks to shared content.\u00a0When\u00a0you enter a long URL in the Status box, a Shorten URL button will display.\u00a0\u00a0You have\u00a0the option to shorten the URL by clicking on the button before sending\u00a0your status update to Twitter.\u00a0The URL shortener is\u00a0a\u00a0great tool when\u00a0it comes to\u00a0sharing content on Twitter since it\u00a0gives\u00a0members more\u00a0room\u00a0to personalize their post in 140 characters.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4992\" title=\"urlshortenertool\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/urlshortenertool.jpg\" alt=\"Twitter Integration on Your Network 5\" width=\"585\" height=\"537\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Branding your Ning Network tweets<br \/>\n<\/strong> When you tweet from your Ning Network, the timestamp in your tweet reads &#8220;from a Ning Network.&#8221; You can <a href=\"\/help\/create-a-twitter-app-for-your-ning-network-2\/\">create your own Twitter App<\/a>\u00a0so that tweets from your Ning Network will read &#8220;from [Ning Network Name]&#8221; and link back to your Ning Network.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4995\" title=\"brandedtweet\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/brandedtweet.jpg\" alt=\"Twitter Integration on Your Network 6\" width=\"585\" height=\"276\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click on the Create Twitter App button from the Twitter Integration page in the Tools area of your My Network dashboard\u00a0and follow the <a href=\"\/help\/create-a-twitter-app-for-your-ning-network-2\/\">set-up instructions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Should you choose to disable\u00a0Twitter integration on\u00a0your Ning Network,\u00a0the Twitter icon below the Status box will not appear and you and members will not be able\u00a0to send\u00a0status updates to Twitter directly on your network.\u00a0Since\u00a0you&#8217;ve always had\u00a0the ability to share content on Twitter via the\u00a0<a href=\"\/help\/share-content-on-your-ning-network\/\">Share<\/a> link, we made the Twitter link more visible for members\u00a0so that they can still\u00a0quickly and easily share\u00a0photos, videos\u00a0or\u00a0other content\u00a0on Twitter.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Twitter is an effective tool for members to spread the word about your Ning Network and drive membership.
