By verifying your Ning Network with Google, you can access comprehensive statistics about the pages on your network. To complete this process, a Google account<\/a> is required.<\/p>\n

Please note that in order for Google Webmaster to verify your network, you'll first need to ensure your network is completely public. <\/div>\n

If your network is public and you have a Google account, sign in to your network with your Network Creator credentials. Go to your My Network tab and click on the \u201cGoogle Webmaster\u201d link.<\/p>\n

In a separate browser tab or window, open the \u201cGoogle Webmaster Tools\u201d link. This will take you to https:\/\/www.google.com\/webmasters\/tools\/
\nOnce on the Google Webmaster Tools page, click on the \u201cAdd Site\u201d button.<\/p>\n

A window will pop up, prompting you to select property type and enter your network\u2019s URL. Select “URL prefix” type and put the URL of your network.<\/p>\n

Click \u201cContinue\u201d after entering your network\u2019s URL. You will be presented with a few ways of verifying ownership of the site. We will review the recommended verification method.<\/p>\n

You will be prompted to upload an HTML file to your server, but it\u2019s important to note that you do not need to upload a file to a server. <\/div>\n

Just copy the HTML verification file name that you see in Step 1, and paste it into the space provided on your network\u2019s Step 4 in the Google Webmaster management page.<\/p>\n

Once you do that, click \u201cSave\u201d on the network\u2019s Google Webmasters management page. Then go back to your Google Webmaster Tools page and hit “Verify” button. The system will run a short check and confirm the verification.<\/p>\n
