As always, the Chat feature allows you to participate in a live chatroom and private chats. However, the updated Chats version will supply you with additional options:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Customizable notifications<\/li>\n<li>Message counter<\/li>\n<li>Ability to create and manage your groups<\/li>\n<li>Ability to send files<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>By default, your Chat will be enabled, and displayed in the collapsed view in the bottom right corner of the page. You do not need to enable it separately &#8211; it will be created along with your network. To customize your Chat, check out the Chat Settings. The Chat bar location is fixed, and whenever you would like to communicate with the members of your network, all you have to do is simply expand it. Also, you can select the preferred sound, or even add your own one to receive notifications or messages in the most comfortable manner. Make sure to save your changes. Additionally, both you and other chat members\u00a0can turn sounds on or off.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"New Chat Features 1\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3878\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ning.com\/ning3help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/chat2.png\" width=\"580\" height=\"275\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This Chat\u00a0allows you to customize the appearance and\u00a0the language that appears in the chat window. You can also\u00a0filter out inappropriate language. Changes that you make to your network\u2019s appearance will be applied to your Chat as well.<\/p>\n<p>In this version, the message counter is available for you to improve your user experience. Look at the picture to see how this feature will be displayed in your chat bar.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"New Chat Features 2\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3877\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ning.com\/ning3help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/chat1.png\" width=\"580\" height=\"275\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As the Network Creator, you can also change the name of your group, add photos, delete, add, and even block the members of your group.<\/p>\n<p>To rename your group or change a photo, please choose the necessary option in the chat bar of your group.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"New Chat Features 3\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3880\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ning.com\/ning3help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/chat3-1.png\" width=\"474\" height=\"418\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To delete, add or block some members of your group, or delete the entire conversation, choose the needed option in the private chat of a certain user.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"New Chat Features 4\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3881\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ning.com\/ning3help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/chat5.png\" width=\"666\" height=\"418\" \/><\/p>\n<p>NB: You can delete your private messages, and\u00a0suspend members from the Chat, as deemed necessary. To delete a message, hover over the right side of the message and click on the \u201cx\u201d that appears.<\/p>\n<p>If a member needs to block messages from a particular member of the network, he or she can\u00a0hover over the member\u2019s name, and then choose \u201cIgnore\u201d from the drop-down\u00a0menu that appears.<\/p>\n<p>You also have the opportunity to send files.
