You can use the “Feature” option to showcase content on your Ning Network. A featured photo, for example, will live in a “Featured” section at the top of a Photos page. Featured content can also appear on a custom page, if the photos module is set to display featured content. You can feature Blog Posts, Forum Discussions, and Photos.<\/p>\n

To feature a photo, go to the Photos page. Click on the photo you wish to feature and open up the photo’s detail page. Click on the “Feature” icon just above the photo.<\/p>\n

To have the photo appear on your main page, go to your Sites & Pages menu in the Social Site Builder. In a Custom page, add or select a Photo module and select “Featured” from the From drop-down menu. Now, this photo and any other featured photos will be displayed on your network’s main page.<\/p>\n

To feature forum discussions and blog posts follow these same steps and you’ll be all set! <\/strong>To stop featuring an item, go back to the detail page and click the “Feature” icon again.<\/p>\n

To feature a member, go to the member\u2019s\u00a0profile page and click on the “Options” button that appears in the upper right corner of their profile page. Select “Feature” from the drop-down menu, and voila! Your member will now be featured on the network. \u00a0This means they will show up in a featured list on your Members listing page, and you can set a Members module to display featured members on a custom page on your network.<\/p>\n

Not seeing any\u00a0\u201dFeature\u201d icon? This member has likely set their profile page to be visible to \u201cJust My Friends\u201d or \u201cMembers\u201d. Only members with fully public profile pages will have this option available on their profile page.<\/strong><\/p>\n

To stop featuring an item or member, go back to the detail page and click again on the icon (for a content item) or the “Options” button for members, then select “Feature” again, which will now have a colored star beside it.
