As you may know, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) has replaced Universal Analytics (UA). <\/em><\/p>\n

Starting from July 1, 2023,<\/em> standard Universal Analytics properties will stop processing data. (360 Universal Analytics properties with a current order will receive a one-time processing extension ending on July 1, 2024<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Hence, you should upgrade your Google Analytics account to avoid disruptions in collecting the network’s analytics.<\/p>\n

Migration from Universal Analytics to Google Analytics 4<\/strong><\/h2>\n

To migrate from the existing Universal Analytics account to GA4, you should:<\/p>\n

1) Create a GA4 property and start collecting data.<\/strong><\/p>\n

2) Migrate your conversions, audiences, and other settings<\/strong><\/p>\n

Make the switch<\/a><\/p>\n

Create a new Google Analytics 4 account.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

  1. You should start with the account creation by signing in here with your Gmail address – https:\/\/analytics.google.com\/. Choose the account name and click on “Next”.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    2. Create a property by entering the details, and choose a timezone and currency if needed.<\/p>\n

    3. Describe your business by choosing a category and its size. After that click on the “Next” button.<\/p>\n

    4. Choose your business objectives. It’s needed for personalized reports. You should choose topics that are most relevant to you.<\/p>\n

    5. Choose a platform – “Web”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    6. Set up data stream by entering the URL of your network. (Note: you can check the URL of your network in your ning.com account here –<\/em> <\/em>Network’s I’ve created<\/em><\/a>)<\/em>. Enter “Stream name” by simply describing your network and clicking the “Create stream”<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n

    7. After that, you should wait a few minutes for the “Installation instructions” window to slide from the right. You should copy the code from the “Install manually” section.<\/p>\n

    8. Paste the code from the 7th step to your network’s Social Site Manager –> Custom Code –> Head area, and click on the “Save” button to apply the changes.<\/p>\n

    9. Go back to the GA4 setup page and copy the “MEASUREMENT ID” tag.<\/p>\n

    10. Paste it in the Social Site Manager –> General Settings –> Google Analytics 4 ID area<\/p>\n

    11. After that you should go back to the GA4 setup page and click the “Next” button, where you’ll redirect to the following screen<\/p>\n

    Congratulations! You successfully created your account and property. It may take up to 48 hours before your property starts collecting data as informed by Google.
